I have a signed pen and ink sketch of tall women that was given to me by Miles Davis in 1983. Value?

Does anybody know how much it might be worth or how I can find out?

Do you mean that it is by him? if so, there would certainly be collectors out there interested. I'm afraid I'll tell you what we always tell people – to take it to a fine art auctioneer or dealer. Professional valuers do not view these sites.

Post it on ebay, not here. Start your auction at $5.00 and say a prayer.

With Opening Day just a couple days away, we’re finishing up with one of our favorite things in all the world: Season Previews. four years ago, they began as a semi-serious analysis and ended up as half-assed haiku. We’re just gonna go with what we know. Kicking off our preview of the American League Central, here are the Detroit Tigers.

Jose Valverde
Scares the crap out of hitters
Joaquin Benoit too

Justin Verlander,
Max Scherzer, and Brad Penny
In the rotation

Coke in the bullpen
Until the Home Opener
Porcello to start

Victor Martinez
Will beef up the offense and
Catch with Avila

Fans say Oh my Boesch!
Magglio Ordonez has
Luscious locks of hair

Jackson in center
No shortage of outfielders
With Raburn in left

Peralta and Rhymes
Tag-teaming up the middle
Brandon Inge at third

Miguel Cabrera
Had another eventful
Booze-fueled offseason

Jimmy Leyland is
One of the few old schoolers
Managing today

The AL Central
Is gonna be neck-and-neck
Again this season

Homeless Man with a Smooth Radio Voice

I get the distinct feeling, there’s a certain buzz about this video (it’s fucking everywhere today), that Ted Williams life is about to change. Surely, after seeing this video he will be offered a job at a radio station or asked to come and announce a few skits for Jimmy Fallon or Conan O’Brien, right? it seems like every year, thanks to viral Youtube videos, someone’s life is altered. Ted Williams should be the first guy in 2011 to have that distinction.

The Columbus Dispatch recently posted this remarkable video and indeed, the guy’s voice is uncanny.  Sign him up to do be the new movie voiceover trailer guy.  Anyways, it’s refreshing to see a newspaper put together little video features and expand their staple beyond the written word.  [via, let's see, how about geekosystem]

Want to download a file from megaupload?

Well I've used megaupload countless times but most of the time you can watch whats in the file.
However, this time I want to download this file:-

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XI5W2HJT

As there is no "watch on megavideo" option with this, I'm assuming because it is a zip folder? Is there a way I can scan the download link before downloading?

Thanks

Are the Tampa Bay Rays and Washington Nationals going to play in the World Series this year?

How would you react if the Rays and Nationals played each other? I predict the Washington Nationals to take it home and win it this year. I would choose the Nationals because they are one of the best baseball teams who know how to pitch and know how to score homeruns. The Rays are good but their on there way of becoming a champion.

I won't react because it just won't happen. Nationals are horrible and the Rays are getting better, but still WAY behind especially in the AL East

It would just assure all of the fans that MLB is in fact rigged…

Hilarious. Really far from what will actually happen but still quite funny that somebody even thinks the Nationals have a chance.

Go Red Sox!

yep, Rays over Nats in 7, Brett Tomko will win the Cy Young and George W. is going to find bin Laden.

I have my college savings riding on the Rays to win it all.

Final 4 teams this year are
Red Sox
Tigers
Mets
Dodgers

People in here laugh at you, but it wouldn't be the first time that two last place teams went to the WS the following season. In 1990, the Twins and the Braves were two last place teams. In 1991, the Twins defeated the Braves in what many believe to be the best WS ever.

Only if a massive epidemic strikes down the other 28 teams.

Yes it will happen, just as soon as the Dolphins and Falcons play in the Super Bowl.

It's about as likely as a Miami-Atlanta Super Bowl. It just isn't going to happen.

The Nats were terrible as it is, and they lost, arguably, some of their best players to the Mets in Church and Schneider. The AL East is not locked up… but the Nats have the least chance of winning it or getting a Wild Card spot.

The Rays are a decent team with potential, but it's a long ways away in the AL East. They would have a fighting chance in any division in the NL.

I wouldn't bet on it, but anything is possible, I suppose.

Rays and Nats? Score home runs? Are you on something?

To quote Black label Society, you must be Crazy or High

I would be shocked! I wouldn't care who won. but I would want the Devil Rays because the AL East needs a new winner!

their is no way either of those teams would make it to the world series. i would be shocked if even one of them made it to the playoffs

The only way those two team will make the Series, is if all the other teams die in plane crashes and they don't call up their triple- a affiliates to take their places

That's like betting on a longshot

Are the Tampa Bay Rays and Washington Nationals going to play in the World Series this year?
